Snow Routes

Hello Griffin Families,

With winter weather approaching, student safety remains our top priority! We want to ensure all families are prepared for potential schedule changes due to inclement weather (snow or ice) that may make some of our regular routes unsafe for bus travel.

Our updated Emergency Bus Stop Routes (often referred to as Snow Routes) are now finalized and available for you to review on the Transportation page of our website.

In the event of inclement weather, the district will make every effort to announce schedule changes (such as a 2 or 3-hour late start or closure) usually by 6:00 a.m. using the following methods:

  • 📱 Mass Notification: Text message, email, and phone call via our automated system.

  • đź’» Website & Social Media: Announcement posted on the Griffin School District homepage and Facebook page.

  • đź“» FlashAlert: Local radio and TV stations (via the FlashAlert system).

Please Note: If a late start is called, there will be no morning activities: NO Preschool, NO Boys & Girls Club, NO Out-of-District Transportation, and NO Breakfast served. Pick-up times and locations will operate on the Emergency Bus Stop Routes schedule.

Griffin will send out a second alert regarding bus routes for after school and an update for sports and club activities.

Thank you for helping us keep all Griffin students safe this winter season! ❄️

Go Grizzlies!
