Parent Education Night

As part of our ongoing commitment to the well-being and safety of our students, we want to address a growing concern within our community—the potential risks associated with access to substances and drugs. Middle school students are at a critical developmental stage, where they are learning to make choices that can have lasting impacts on their health and futures.

Unfortunately, substances such as nicotine, marijuana, and drugs in pill form are becoming increasingly accessible to children and adolescents. Whether through social interactions, social

media platforms, or peer pressure, many young people are exposed to these risks earlier than ever before. The consequences of substance use can be serious, affecting not only physical and mental health, but also academic performance, social relationships, and overall life opportunities.

At Griffin, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. We are working closely with local authorities and health professionals to ensure that our school is a place where students can thrive and grow without the risk of harmful substances. We are hosting a PARENT EDUCATION NIGHT here at Griffin on March 19th at 6pm. We hope you will join us for more information related to students having increased access to illegal substances.
